History

Established in 1990, EMS High School has been the number one choice of parents who are conscious of providing their children an education that ensures the development of intellect, the cultivation of social skills and a system of education that allows children to perform to the best of their abilities.

EMS teachers are not merely employees at the school, they are partners of parents, working together in following the child as she or he goes from strength to strength.

EMS believes in substance, not just style. Students at the school are involved not merely in day to day textbook material, but in a holistic program of curricular and co-curricular activities that expand horizons and build a foundation of skills and attributes that produce high quality citizens.

The EMS environment is vibrant and familial and is built on trust between parents, teachers and most of all, students.

In extra-curricular activities too, the School has maintained an active interest and winning record. Since the inception of the Dawn National Bee in 2005, EMS students have buzzed their way to Regional and National Spelling Championships in all three age categories. The Kangaroo Mathematics Competition also saw consecutive Gold/Silver/Bronze Medalists from EMS High School in 2005, 2006, 2008 & 2010. Five years ago, a student of Class 5 was sent to Japan as a Junior Ambassador, representing the School and Pakistan with honor. Our students have also achieved accolades for sending in entries to the Commonwealth Essay Competition in 2006/2007/2008/2009/2010/2011. With an avid participation in WWF festivals and other social events too, the School has ensured a completely balanced profile for its students.

The Montessori Way

Dr. Maria Montessori (1871-1952) was a physician, a psychologist and a philosopher. It was distinction enough that she was among the first women to ever study these fields in the depth that she did, her legacy however is the Montessori method of education.

The Montessori method of education she developed primarily through working with children was based on her almost effortless ability of children to absorb knowledge from their surroundings, as well as their tireless interest in manipulating material. Every piece of equipment, every exercise, and every method that Dr. Montessori developed was based on what she observed children to do naturally, by themselves. Her repeated plea to parents and teachers everywhere was "Follow the Child". As the motto for the EMS High School, 'following' the child is way of life for its teachers. The results speak for themselves.

Message from Principal

Ever since the birth of civilization, the process of education is engaged to enable the new generation to learn, absorb and adopt the centuries old knowledge, experiences, traditions, and culture of the human race. The means and methods for transmitting the experience of the old generation have been changing with the passage of time, but the theme and essence of the education remained the same; which in simple words is to transform a closed mind into an open mind.

I feel confident to see that, in short span of time, EMS has shaped up into excellent places of learning where positive attitudes are built in the personality of our students.

I have full faith that with such a qualified and experienced group of educationists, the students on our roll would become competent professionals and useful members of the society.

May Allah help us all to achieve the excellence.
